Removal

Release the fuel system pressure.
Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release (310-00C Fuel System - General
Information - 2.0L Duratec-HE (129kW/175PS), General Procedures).

Remove the intake manifold.
Refer to: Intake Manifold (303-01C Engine - 2.0L Duratec-HE (129kW/175PS), Removal and Installation).

Disconnect the FRP sensor electrical connector.

NOTICE:
During repair procedure, cleanliness is extremely
important. Any foreign material, including any material created while
cleaning or removing components that enters the fuel supply passages may
cause engine failure.
NOTE:
Use compressed air to remove any foreign material
from around the Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) sensor area before removal.
Installation

Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil, install the FRP sensor and the electrical connector.

NOTICE:
During repair procedure, cleanliness is extremely
important. Any foreign material, including any material created while
cleaning or removing components that enters the fuel supply passages may
cause engine failure.
Install the Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) sensor and tighten in the following 5 stages:
Material: Engine Oil - SAE 5W-20 - Synthetic Blend Motor Oil

53 lb.in (6 Nm)
Stage 2:
5°
Stage 3:
Loosen: 90°
Stage 4:
53 lb.in (6 Nm)
