Ford Ecosport: Front End Body Panels / Removal and Installation - Hood
Removal
NOTE:

NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

Remove the retainers and the hood insulation.

Pull up and remove the hood insulation.

Detach the windshield washer hose coupling.
-
Detach the retainers and position the windshield washer hose from the hood.

On both sides.
Index-mark the hood hinge location to aid in hood installation.

NOTE:
An assistant is necessary for the support and removal of the hood.
Remove the nuts and the hood.
Torque:
71 lb.in (8 Nm)

This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the retainers and the hood pad assembly.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Check the hood alignment. Align the hood as necessary.
