Ford Ecosport: Evaporative Emissions - 2.0L Duratec-HE (129kW/175PS) / Removal and Installation - Evaporative Emission Blocking Valve
Removal
NOTE:
The evaporative emission blocking valve is serviced with the fuel tank pressure sensor and tube.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Detach the retainer & remove the EVAP blocking valve electrical connector.

Release the quick connect couplings and remove the EVAP blocking valve.
Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00A Fuel System - General Information - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW/125PS), General Procedures).
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Activation
Phase 1 - Leak Verification
Run the EVAP Test with the scan tool.
NOTE:
Some small leaks may not be detected using the EVAP Test...

Check
Turn the ignition ON (engine OFF).
Set the parking brake.
Place the gearshift in REVERSE (R) for rear parking aid sensors.
Place the gearshift in DRIVE (D) for front parking aid sensors...
Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
Remove the brake pedal and bracket assembly.
Refer to: Brake Pedal and Bracket (206-06 Hydraulic Brake Actuation, Removal and Installation).
Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the retainers and the blower motor...
