Removal
NOTE:

Drain the cooling system.
Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding
(303-03C Engine Cooling - 2.0L Duratec-HE (129kW/175PS), General
Procedures).

Recover the A/C system.
Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and
Charging - Vehicles With: R134A Refrigerant (412-00 Climate Control
System - General Information, General Procedures).

Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud.
Refer to: Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud (303-03C Engine Cooling - 2.0L Duratec-HE (129kW/175PS), Removal and Installation).

Remove the front bumper cover.
Refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

Remove the condenser inlet and outlet nuts and
disconnect the fittings. Discard the O-ring seals and gasket seals.
Torque:
80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

NOTE:
Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Release the clamps and disconnect the transmission cooler lines.
Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

Detach the wiring harness retainer.
-
Detach the wiring harness connector retainer and position the wiring harness aside.
-
Detach the retainers and position the electrical wiring harness aside.

Remove the radiator upper mounting brackets and the radiator upper isolators.
-
Remove the cooling module.
-
Release the clips. Remove the A/C condenser and transmission fluid cooler assembly.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill and bleed the cooling system.

Evacuate, leak test and charge the refrigerant system.
Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and
Charging - Vehicles With: R134A Refrigerant (412-00 Climate Control
System - General Information, General Procedures).

Check the transmission fluid level and adjust as necessary.
