Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

If equipped.
Disconnect the hood ajar switch electrical connector.

Remove the hood latch assembly.
1. Remove the bolts from the hood latch.
  Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
1. Release the retaining clips on the secondary hood latch release handle.
1. Disconnect the primary hood latch release cable from the mounting bracket.
1. Remove the primary hood latch release cable eyelet from the hood latch.

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Remove the rear toe adjustment retainers and remove the wheel knuckle mounting bracket.
Torque:
Stage 1: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)
Stage 2: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)
