Ford Ecosport: Interior Trim and Ornamentation / Removal and Installation - D-Pillar Trim Panel

Removal

NOTE: RH shown, LH similar.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Remove the C-pillar lower trim panel.
   Refer to: C-Pillar Lower Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. If equipped.
   Remove the storage tray.
   

1. 
   Position rear outer seatbelt aside.
   

   1. NOTE: D-ring bolt cover does not fully remove from the seatbelt.

      Position D-ring bolt cover up.
      
   2. Remove the D-ring bolt.
      Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

1. Release the D-pillar clips.
   

1. NOTICE: The D-pillar trim panel must be positioned downward to allow the upper clip to release correctly. Failure to follow this direction may cause damage to the D-pillar trim panel.

   Slide the D-pillar trim panel down, aligning the upper clip to the slot in the sheet metal.
   

1. 
   Remove the D-pillar trim panel.
   
   1. RH side only.
      Rotate the socket and position the interior loadspace lamp aside.
      

Installation

1. NOTE: During installation, make sure the seatbelt webbing is not twisted and seatbelts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.

   To install, reverse the removal procedure.
