Ford Ecosport: Interior Trim and Ornamentation / Removal and Installation - D-Pillar Trim Panel
Removal
NOTE:
RH shown, LH similar.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the C-pillar lower trim panel.
Refer to: C-Pillar Lower Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

If equipped.
Remove the storage tray.

Position rear outer seatbelt aside.

NOTE:
D-ring bolt cover does not fully remove from the seatbelt.
Position D-ring bolt cover up.
-
Remove the D-ring bolt.
Torque:
30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

Release the D-pillar clips.

NOTICE:
The D-pillar trim panel must be positioned downward
to allow the upper clip to release correctly. Failure to follow this
direction may cause damage to the D-pillar trim panel.
Slide the D-pillar trim panel down, aligning the upper clip to the slot in the sheet metal.

Remove the D-pillar trim panel.

RH side only.
Rotate the socket and position the interior loadspace lamp aside.
Installation
-
NOTE:
During installation, make sure the seatbelt webbing
is not twisted and seatbelts and buckles are accessible to the
occupants.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Position the rear door weatherstrip aside.
Release the clips and remove the rear door scuff plate trim panel...

Overview
NOTICE:
Do not use leaded fuel in a vehicle equipped with a
catalytic converter. In a vehicle that is continually misfueled, the
lead in the fuel will be deposited in the catalytic converter and
completely blanket the catalyst...
Bring the engine to normal operating temperature. Connect
the Vacuum/Pressure Tester to the intake manifold. Run the engine at the
specified idle speed.
The vacuum gauge should read between 51-74 kPa (15-22 in-Hg)
depending upon the engine condition and the altitude at which the test
is conducted...
