Interior Trim Remover

Removal

  1. Remove components for access to the instrument panel wiring harness.
    • Remove the IPC .
      Refer to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) (413-01 Instrumentation, Message Center and Warning Chimes, Removal and Installation).
    • Remove the HVAC control module.
      Refer to: Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Control Module (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, Removal and Installation).
    • Remove the center air register.
      Refer to: Center Registers (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, Removal and Installation).
  1. Disconnect the APIM to USB port cable from the APIM and cut the connector off the end of the cable.
  1. Using a non-marring tool position the media hub out.
    Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
  1. Disconnect the APIM to USB port cable from the media hub and cut the connector off the end of the cable.

Installation

  1. Overlay and secure the APIM to USB port cable to the instrument panel wiring harness using the routing shown.
  1. Connect the APIM to USB port cable to the media hub and install the media hub.
  1. Connect the APIM to USB port cable to the APIM .
  1. Install the components removed components for access to the instrument panel wiring harness.
    • Install the center air register.
      Refer to: Center Registers (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, Removal and Installation).
    • Install the HVAC control module.
      Refer to: Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Control Module (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, Removal and Installation).
    • Install the IPC .
      Refer to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) (413-01 Instrumentation, Message Center and Warning Chimes, Removal and Installation).
