Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the tie rod end.
Refer to: Tie Rod End (211-02 Power Steering, Removal and Installation).

Remove the tie rod end jamb nut.

Remove and discard the steering gear boot clamps and remove the steering gear boot.
Installation

NOTE:
The seal is to be reused unless damaged.
NOTE:
Make sure that the seal is correctly located.
Inspect the steering gear boot inner seal.

Install the steering gear boot.

Install the steering gear boot inner clamp.
Use Special Service Tool: 204-169
Clamping Tool, Boot Retaining Clamp.

Install the steering gear boot outer clamp.
-
Install the tie rod end jamb nut.
-
Install the tie rod end.
