Removal

Vehicles with bumper cover mounted camera

1. Remove the rear bumper cover.
   Refer to: Rear Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Disconnect the rear parking aid camera electrical connector.
   

1. Release the bracket and remove the rear parking aid camera.
   

Vehicles with liftgate mounted camera

1. Remove the liftgate moulding.
   Refer to: Liftgate Moulding (501-08 Exterior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
   

1. Release the tabs and remove the camera and housing assembly.
   

1. Release the tab and remove the camera bracket.
   

1. Release the tabs and remove the rear view camera.
   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   

1. NOTE: Carry out this step only if a parking aid camera is being replaced.

   Initialize the rear parking aid camera.
   Refer to: Parking Aid Camera Initialization (413-13B Parking Aid - Vehicles With: Parking Aid Camera, General Procedures).
