Removal

  1. Open the glove compartment.
  1. Release the golve compartment stops and remove the dampener.
  1. Fully lower and remove the glove compartment.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    NOTICE: During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while cleaning gasket surfaces, that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan can cause engine failure.

    Remove the timing chain.

    Remove the bolts and VCT units.
    Discard the bolts.
