Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the rear bumper cover.
    Refer to: Rear Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).
  1. Disconnect the rear parking aid sensor electrical connector(s).

    1. Release the tabs.
    1. Remove the rear parking aid sensor(s).

Installation

  1. Install the rear parking aid sensor(s).
  1. Connect the rear parking aid sensor electrical connector(s).
  1. Install the rear bumper cover.
    Refer to: Rear Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).
  1. Carry out the azimuth and elevation system checks.
    Refer to: Azimuth System Check (413-13A Parking Aid, General Procedures).
    Refer to: Elevation System Check (413-13A Parking Aid, General Procedures).
  1. If any sensor fails a system check, diagnose the rear parking aid system.
    Refer to: Parking Aid (413-13A Parking Aid, Diagnosis and Testing).

    Remove the brake flexible hose bracket bolt.
    Disconnect the brake tube fitting and remove the brake hose clip.
