Interior Trim Remover

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may installation details.


  1. Remove the floor console upper trim panel.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
      Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
  1. Remove the RH cover and bolt.
    Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)
  1. Remove the RH floor console front trim panel.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • Detach the wire harness retainer and remove the ground bolt.
      Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
    • Remove the retainers and the electric booster heater.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    NOTICE: During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while cleaning gasket surfaces, that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan can cause engine failure.

    Remove the timing chain.
    Refer to: Timing Chain (303-01C Engine - 2.0L Duratec-HE (129kW/175PS), Removal and Installation).
    Remove the bolts and VCT units.
    Discard the bolts.
