Overview
The EVAP
system prevents hydrocarbon emissions from entering the atmosphere by
storing fuel vapors and routing the vapors to the engine to be consumed
during normal engine operation.
The EVAP system consists of:

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The RCM transmits an event notification signal which communicates
fuel cutoff status and SRS deployment status to the BCM . When the BCM
receives an event notification signal which indicates a crash, it
initiates fuel cut-off.
