Ford Ecosport: Automatic Transmission External Controls / Removal and Installation - Upshift Paddle Switch

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the RH steering wheel multifunction switch.
    Refer to: Steering Wheel Multifunction Switch (211-05 Steering Wheel and Column Electrical Components, Removal and Installation).
  1. Disconnect the upshift paddle switch electrical connector.
  1. Remove the bolt and the upshift paddle switch.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Remove the wheel knuckle.

    Remove the rear toe adjustment retainers and remove the wheel knuckle mounting bracket.
    Torque:
      Stage 1:  177 lb.in (20 Nm)
      Stage 2:  76 lb.ft (103 Nm)
