Follow the health and safety precautions.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Remove the engine undershield.

Remove the PTU (Power Transfer Unit) fill plug.

NOTICE:
Incorrect fluid fill can result in transfer case failure.
NOTE:
Do not fill to the level of the fill plug, this will lead to filling excess oil.
Add the specified amount and type of oil through the filler
plug hole until the level reaches the bottom of the filler plug hole X: 0
mm.
