Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Remove and discard the muffler and catalytic converter flange clamp.

Remove and discard the muffler and tailpipe flange clamp.

Detach the exhaust isolators. Remove the rear pipe.

Detach the exhaust isolators. Remove the muffler front pipe.
Installation
-
Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.
-
Install the new muffler and attach the exhaust isolators.
-
Install the rear pipe and attach the exhaust isolator.
-
Install tailpipe flange clamp.
Torque:
17 lb.ft (23 Nm)

Position the pipe and install the new catalytic converter flange clamp.
Torque:
17 lb.ft (23 Nm)

Check the exhaust system for leaks.

and the catalyst monitor sensor do not need to be removed from the
