Ford Ecosport: Multifunction Electronic Modules / Removal and Installation - Rear Door Module (RDM)

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: If installing a new module, it is not necessary to upload the module configuration information to the diagnostic scan tool prior to removing the module. If the RDM is replaced with a part with the same suffix level, the DDM and PDM will automatically transfer the respective configuration to the new RDM upon first powering up.

1. Remove the rear door trim panel.
   Refer to: Rear Door Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

   Remove the 2 retainers and the RDM .
   
   • Disconnect the electrical connector.
     

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
