Ford Ecosport: Glass, Frames and Mechanisms / Removal and Installation - Front Door Window Regulator

Removal

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: For non-functional front door window regulators and motors with the window in the 40 mm open to full closed position, cut the front door window regulator cables to allow window movement.

1. Remove the front door window glass.
   Refer to: Front Door Window Glass (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the adhesive cover.

   Remove the front door window regulator.
   
   1. Loosen the top nut on the front door window regulator and remove the remaining bolts from the front door window regulator.
      Material: Thread Locking Sealant (SQ-M4G9523-A)
      Torque:
         Nut:   75 lb.in (8.5 Nm)
         Bolts:   75 lb.in (8.5 Nm)
   2. Disconnect the harness routing clip and electrical connector from the front door window regulator.
      
   3. Remove the front door window regulator.
      

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   

1. If the door is equipped with one touch up/down.
   Carry out the power door window initialization.
   Refer to: Power Door Window Initialization (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, General Procedures).
