Ford Ecosport: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems / Removal and Installation - Exterior Front Door Handle

Removal

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

Vehicles with push button start

1. Remove the front door trim panel
   Refer to: Front Door Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the front door watershield.
   

1. Disconnect the exterior front door handle electrical connector.
   

All vehicles

1. 
   Remove the access plug and the exterior front door handle retaining screw.
   
   1. Remove the access plug from the front door.
      
   2. Remove the exterior front door handle retaining screw.
      

1. Remove the exterior front door handle trim cover and if equipped, remove the front door lock cylinder.
   

1. NOTE: Vehicles with push button start shown, others similar.

   
   Remove the front exterior door handle.
   
   1. Pull the exterior front door handle rearward.
      
   2. Remove the front exterior door handle.
      

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   

1. Rotate the key to check for correct operation.
